 El vestido que usó Lea para los Golden Globes no es mi máximo, es un lindo Oscar de la Renta pero la tela es TAN pesada que me da la impresión de que le costaba trabajo caminar. Por otro lado el vestido que usó para los SAG's es hermoso, ligero, sensual y discreto, aún cuando el cabello parece no pasar por su mejor momento. Bien por Lea Michele!

The dress Lea wore to the Golden Globes isn't on of my favorites, it's a beautiful Oscar de la Renta, but the fabric is so heavy that it seems she had trouble walking. On the other hand, the dress she wore to the SAG Awards was stunning, sensual and discreet, even when it seems  she had a bad-hair-day, good for Lea Michele!

Uno de mis looks favoritos de todos los tiempos siempre será el estilo Dandy, el personaje que lo porta despide un aire de grandeza, seguridad, sensualidad y distinción logrando merecer con cada detalle (estudiado) de su aspecto todas y cada una de las miradas que provoca.

One of my favorite looks of all time will always be the Dandy style, the character who carries need to show an especific air of grandeur, security, sensuality achieving merit and distinction with every detail (study) of every aspect that the looks causes.

Beth Ditto, por mucho uno de mis fashion icons favoritos. Personalidad, actitud y muchas agallas son las palabras con las que describiría esta sensacional mujer, que por si fuera poco hace una música increíble.

Comenzó con un grupo de rock post-punk llamado Gossip  desde hace ya algún tiempo. Personalmente, lo conocí hace apenas dos años, cuando terminé de escuchar la rola de -Heavy Cross-  en la radio, simplemente sentí la necesidad de conocer a tan talentoso grupo y antes de darme cuenta, el disco "Music for men" ya era considerado uno de mis favoritos. Desde entonces aquella vocalista a cautivado mi atención como pocas lo han logrado, es por eso y solo por eso que le dedico un espacio en este blog.

Beth Ditto, SO far one of my favorite fashion icons. Personality, attitude and a lot of guts are the words that describe this stunning woman and if it wasn't enough, creates amazing music.

It started with a rock post-punk band called Gossip. Personally, I met them two years ago, when I finished listening to the song -Heavy Cross- on the radio, somehow I just felt the need to meet such a talented group and before I realized it, the album " Music for men " was considered one of my favorites. Since then this singer has captivated my attention like few have done, that's the reason I decided to dedicate a post in this blog.

Tal vez se pregunten, ¿por qué después de tanto tiempo escribo sobre ella,? y es que esta semana, escuche en la radio su nuevo sencillo -Open Heart Surgery-, pero esta vez en un proyecto como solista con la colaboración de Simian Mobile Disco. En lo personal esta onda electro no me hace tan feliz como lo hacía el punk-rock de antes, sin embargo, tampoco  parece el fin de mi gusto por la música de esta mujer. 

You might wonder, why after all this time I'm writing about her?, and it's because this week I heard on the radio her new single "Open Heart Surgery" but this time on a solo project in collaboration with Simian Mobile Disco. Personally this 90's electro mood didn'd make me as happy as the punk-rock used to, however, can't stop liking this woman.

Por otro lado, regresando a la moda, un claro ejemplo de estilo (totalmente) personal es el que esta mujer nos muestra, y no solo con un look sencillo y casual como este que nos demuestra que aún con kilos extras las rayas horizontales no son el fin del mundo y que los lentes son el complemento perfecto para cualquier atuendo. 

On the other hand, returning to fashion, this women is a perfect and clear example of (fully) personal style, shows a simple and casual look that even with extra weight horizontal stripes aren't the end of the world and that the glasses are the perfect complement to any outfit.

Está tan segura de si misma que incluso ha incursionado en el mundo de diseño de moda, creando una línea de tallas extras, la cual ¡no luce nada mal!

She's so sure of herself that that the fashion design became her hobby, creating a line of extra sizes, which doesn't look bad!

Y con todos los escándalos que le encanta armar esta mujer se está volviendo un must.Con personalidades del mundo de la moda en su directorio Ditto parece no tener que pedirle nada a nadie.

With all the scandals Beth loves to create, this woman is becoming on of the most popular celebrities. Also she know personalities from the fashion world thats why Ditto seems not to have to ask anyone anything .

El diseño de interiores es otra rama del diseño que llama mi atención como pocas cosas logran hacerlo, debo confesar que fue una difícil decisión el escoger entre diseño de moda y de interiores, hasta ahora no me arrepiento de la elección que tomé no obstante, no deja de ser fuente de inspiración y asombro. Navegando por la red encontré algo que me pudo volver loca... éJean Paul Gaultier, en colaboración con ELLE Decoración Suite y la casa de diseño de muebles Roche Bobois, presenta este espectacular diseño de interiores en un apartamento situado en frente de la torre Eiffel.

The interior design is another branch of the design that catches my attention like few other things fail to do so, I must confess it was a difficult decision picking between fashion design and interiorism, so far I don't regret the choice, however, remains a source of inspiration and wonder. Surfing the net I foundsomething I could drive me crazy ... Jean Paul Gaultier, in collaboration with ELLE Decoration Suite and furniture design house Roche Bobois presents this spectacular interior design in an apartment in front of the Eiffel Tower.

"Plants are invited in, a garden is printed on the walls! Ivy weaves into the sofa; lichen grows over the woven chairs in the shade of a tree, and moss, like green velvet, carpets the stone, plants tumble down in steps, hiding in a net..."

"...The nude touch, satin skin :
Fabric unfolds on the walls of the bedroom and forms a powdery velum on the ceiling. The corset dress of a fairground doll becomes the bed’s giant quilt. In this room, lingerie, a lace that fishnets on the carpet and is mirrored in the window panes.
For the reflective touch, the terrace !..."

 

“Clothes are my job, and as I only know how to dress, I dressed this ELLE Decoration suite in the Cité de l’architecture & du Patrimoine, with various touches that already grace my collections.
First, the marine touch.
Navy stripes are deployed and deformed on the walls, they are draped and curl around the furniture, a little “marine morphing” lounge that disappears in the white canvas..."

"...Paris and the Eiffel tower resonate and multiply in facets shaped like diamonds, jewels, accessories for the sky and clouds, which play on a chequered mirror on the floor, the shiny lining of a cement grey coating. Clothes have gone from one state to another as we pass from one room to another.” Jean Paul Gaultier

 No cabe duda, un gran artista debe ser multifacético, no cualquiera pude triunfar en todos los campos del diseño, pero como no estamos hablando de cualquier artista no es tan difícil de creer que Gaultier sea el nombre tras este proyecto.

Sinceramente yo nunca había escuchado hablar de ELLE Decoration Suit, pero al ver a los colaboradores que han tenido como Christian Lacroix o Martin Margiela, debo admitir que muero de la curiosidad.

There's no doubt, a great artist must be multifaceted, not everyone could succeed in all fields of design, but we're not talking about any artist, so isn't so hard to believe that Gaultier is the name behind this project.

Honestly I had never heard of ELLE Decoration Suit, but seeing employees who have had as Christian Lacroix or Martin Margiela, I must admit that I'm dying of curiosity.
